From the tribal area of the Fars province comes this fascinating carpet by the Qashqai tribe. Its finely knotted geometric motifs are generated entirely from memory. The carpet is approximately 70 years old, knotted of handspun wool pile on wool base and with natural dyes. What's fascinating is that it was made on the horizontal or ground loom, which is favoured by the nomadic tribes. Extremely collectable.
