Art and craft of the hand knotted pile carpet began where it has always flourished, among the pastoral nomads. It refers to the weavings of a few groups, making carpet for personal use within a community. The tribal carpets discussed will be the Turkoman, Belouch and Qashqai. Throughout this session, participants will also be treated to a rare treat - viewing tribal carpets by the Bakhtiyari tribes of the late 1800 to early 1900,Royal Afghan Turkoman (Pee Paw) from around the turn of the 20th century, just to name a few. The round up the carpet appreciation course will be on carpet care and generally, if time permits, an overview of all the categories will be done.

This is an incredible opportunity to learn more about carpets and we strongly advocate this course. Those who are interested can register with us by calling 7375626 or fax us at 2354968.  We look forward to your reply.............................
